Austin's very first suburb, it's a flat neighborhood with Landmark Historic designation, that is just north of the UT campus. A mix of owner occupants and renters, the architecture is primarily craftsman. A very laid-back, walkable neighborhood with a cute little city center that has coffee shops, restaurants, and a cheese shop. Home prices here range from $750k for smaller, 1,500 square foot cottages, and can go as high as $2M.
